Your Trainer
Dr. Simon Bennett is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of experience in the biopharma industry. He has held senior management roles in a range of businesses, from early-stage ventures to IPOs and trade sales, providing guidance and leadership across various sectors including biopharma, biotech, genomics, and specialty pharma.
Dr. Bennett manages a portfolio of companies and serves as a board director for Polku Therapeutics and Xobaderm, and is currently also Chief Business Officer at Avacta Group plc. He was a non-executive director at colwiz, supporting the company through to its acquisition by Informa plc. Earlier in his career, he was part of the executive team at Solexa until its acquisition by Illumina, Inc. He has also worked closely with leading organizations such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Menarini, Beijing Tide Pharma amongst others, contributing to their business development strategies.
With a successful track record in commercial transactions, having completed over 80 deals globally, Dr. Bennett has worked alongside both Big Pharma and biotech companies, delivering strategic value to the teams he supports.
